Important: what the Pass does NOT include

The Museum Pass only covers the 12 civic museums. These famous sights need separate tickets:

  • St. Mark's Basilica

Not part of the civic museums — separate ticket needed.

  • Campanile (Bell Tower)

Iconic 99 m tower next to St. Mark's Square — sold separately.

  • Torre dell'Orologio (Clock Tower)

Guided-tour only via vivaticket — book ahead.

  • Vaporetto & water taxis

Public boats to Murano/Burano are not covered — buy a Vaporetto Pass for transport.

  • Other galleries (Accademia, Guggenheim, San Rocco)

These are state or private collections — not part of the civic museum network.

How the voucher exchange works

When you book through GetYourGuide, you receive a voucher — not the final ticket. Exchange it in Venice at one of four locations.

  1. 1

    Book on GetYourGuide

Pick Standard or Plus. Voucher arrives instantly by email.

  2. 2

    Arrive in Venice

Bring the voucher on your phone or printed.

  3. 3

Exchange at one of 4 desks

Marco Polo Airport boat dock, Alilaguna kiosk at Giardinetti Reali (San Marco), Alilaguna kiosk at Santa Lucia station, or Tronchetto InterParking.

  4. 4

    Visit any museum

Once exchanged, the pass is valid 180 days — one entry per museum.

Estimated total

Honest heads-up before you book

  • St. Mark's Basilica is not included. It's the most-confused point in GetYourGuide reviews — the Pass covers civic museums, not the basilica or the Campanile.
  • Security check still applies. You skip the ticket queue at Doge's Palace, but not the security line — plan 5–15 min in high season.
  • The voucher is not the final ticket. You need to exchange it once at one of 4 desks in Venice — quick, but worth knowing before you arrive.
  • Some museums close one day a week. Ca' Rezzonico and Fortuny on Tuesdays; Mocenigo, Ca' Pesaro, Natural History and Burano on Mondays; Goldoni on Wednesdays.

What travellers say

★★★★★
"Smooth voucher exchange at the train station kiosk — five minutes and we had the actual passes. Doge's Palace was the highlight."
Marc DE · 2025
★★★★★
"Great value if you visit several museums. The variety of the collection is impressive — Tintoretto, Klimt, glass, lace, everything."
Brigitte DE · 2024
★★★☆☆
"Loved Doge's Palace, but I expected St. Mark's Basilica to be included. It isn't — you have to buy a separate ticket. Wish the description had been clearer."

Doge's Palace, Museo Correr, Archaeological Museum, Marciana Library, Ca' Rezzonico, Palazzo Mocenigo, Casa Goldoni, Ca' Pesaro, Museum Fortuny, Natural History Museum, Glass Museum Murano and Lace Museum Burano. As of 2026, MUVEC Mestre and Museum Torcello are included too.
Is St. Mark's Basilica included?
No. The Basilica, the Campanile and the Clock Tower are not part of the civic museums and need separate tickets.
What's the difference between Standard and Plus?
Standard (35 €) covers 4 museums around St. Mark's Square. Plus (50 €) covers all 12 civic museums of Venice — including Murano, Burano and Mestre.
How long is the Pass valid?
The official pass is valid 6 months from purchase. Via GetYourGuide, the voucher is valid 180 days from the day you exchange it in Venice.
Can I cancel?
Bookings directly via the official site are non-refundable. GetYourGuide bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before.
Where do I exchange my GetYourGuide voucher in Venice?
At one of four desks: Marco Polo Airport boat dock, Alilaguna kiosk at Giardinetti Reali (San Marco), Alilaguna kiosk at Santa Lucia station, or Tronchetto InterParking.
Do I have to pick a date or time slot?
No. The Museum Pass — including via GetYourGuide — does not assign a specific entry time slot, not even for Doge's Palace. Walk in any time during opening hours, within the 6-month validity of the official pass. (Source: visitmuve.it official ticket page, May 2026.)

You skip the ticket counter, but security screening at the entrance applies for everyone. In peak season this can take 15–30 minutes — early mornings (before 10:30) and late afternoons are calmer.
Are children free?
Children aged 0–5 are free. Youths 6–14, students 15–25 and seniors 65+ get the reduced rate.
How do I get to Murano and Burano?
